A cure for dirty pictures...

Do you suffer from dirt on the sensor of your digital SLR camera?

The Club has just purchased an Arctic Butterfly Sensor Cleaning Brush, reputedly one of the most effective ways of dealing with this problem. It is available for loan to all Club members.

Equipment hire

The Club has a range of equipment that is available for members to hire. In some cases this is free, in others there is a small charge. The equipment includes:
  • Canon XEED SX-60 digital projector
  • Sony VAIO laptop with software
  • Wacom Intuos3 A5 Tablet
  • X-Rite Eye-one for monitor calibration
  • Bowens Esprit studio flash outfit
  • Studio backgrounds and supports
  • Slide copier
The software includes:
  • Adobe Photoshop CS4
  • Adobe Photoshop Elements
  • Adobe Lightroom 2.2
  • Photodex ProShow Gold
This is a great opportunity to experiment with these programs.

We also have books about Lightroom and hopefully we will be getting some more training materials.

Making a start with blogging

Here we are with our revamped website - thanks Joules and looking forward to your continuing webmastering.

This is a good opportunity to thank Julie and Ian Coombes for organising the photo competition at St Annes Junior & Infants schools and also for the excellent turn out of club members on the day. We put on an impressive show which drew a lot of interest.

We'll continue to sponsor local photo competitions under the theme of Photo in the Community - "What I Like & What I'd like to Change"
