Awards

Well I had my eyes well and truly opened with the Skittles  match during last weeks awards, I am not exagerating when I say I genuinely feared for my life sitting next to the alley, how there weren't holes made in the floor I will never know :)
It was a great turn out with most of the club coming along for the social meet and  Im sure we managed to stink the club out with garlic too :) Thankyou Alison for arranging the food for us all.

The award winners -

Winner of the tickets to Fairford - Michelle Donohoue

Novice of the year  - Julie Coombs

Print photographer of the year - Richard Price

DPI photographer of the year - Angi Nelson

John Hankin Shield Best Print - Mark O'Grady

Stan Scantlebury Shield Best DPI - Angi Nelson

Now we are entering the summer months and the committee plus a few extra members have put together a programme to keep us occuppied whilst those other lucky few are away in pursuit of summer sunshine abroad. This week we start with Barry taking us through images he has judged for other clubs.

Round 3 results

The results of Round 3 of our Open Competition are in. Thanks to Nick Ball for taking the time to judge the competition for us.
Congratulations to Arthur Belton on winning the Print section and Alison Davies for her first ever win in the Digital Projected.
Thanks to everyone that took part and congratulations if you managed to get in the scoring. Scroll down to see the winning pictures.
I’ve done a few things differently this time. If you have a Flickr account then I’ve made it so that if you click your name you get taken to your Flickr ‘stream (if you have one and even if you haven’t posted anything to it for ages). If you have your winning picture on your Flickr stream then clicking that picture will take you to it on your Flickr ‘stream. If it’s not on your Flickr then you will get taken to the Clubs Flickr ‘stream.
I’m also trying out a new, and hopefully better, way of laying out the pictures. So If something doesn’t seem to be right with the layout then please let me know.

Round 2 Results

The results of the 2nd Round of our Annual Open Competition have been announced! It's great to see so many of you taking part and submitting such wonderful photographs. I've managed to get all but one of the winners to show here. Hopefully next time I'll be able to get them all.
Our thanks also go to  Eddie Lane for taking the time to go through and judge them all.

I've tried a slightly different way of laying out the shots on this blog. Please let me know if it works for you or if it still looks as though I've randomly thrown the images across the screen. They really need to sort out a decent system for laying out multiple pictures on these blogs.

The winner for the Digital Projected Image Category was Adrian Cook with his picture entitled Kilve
