Lost in Goblin Combe

Goblin Combe. Lovely peaceful gentle stroll in a circular route, not to easy but not to difficult either. It's a shame we didn't really get to see it. As at the very first turn we went the wrong way! Although if we hadn't then its quite probable that we would not have discovered the ancient and mysterious Porridge Mine. For somewhere dark and mysterious it was certainly well signposted. Although the going was tough and we had to evade trolls and an over active imagination. We made it in one piece.
If your wondering just what all this porridge mine stuff is all about, your not the only one!

O.K. back to reality. Even though we took a wrong turn right at the beginning, it was a really enjoyable afternoon. We took great pictures, but more importantly we all had fun. Keep an eye out on the club's Flickr Group or individual photostreams as it's a fair bet pictures will be appearing soon. I'm sure there will be another walk organised soon. Though this time we are going to pay more attention to where we're going.

The motley crew that went in search of the Porridge were (left to right) Jack, Rich, Steve, Mark, Ian, Louise, Vicky, (front row) Jack the dog, Barrie, Hanneke.

Ah, a porridge mine. That'll be the companion to the treacle mines of Dunchideock...
